Jason was born in Jakarta, Indonesia, in 1991. His directing career began at the age of 17, at a documentary workshop & competition ‘Think Act Change’ hosted by the Jakarta Arts Council and The Body Shop Indonesia, where he won three awards, including the best film.

Jason has directed 8 short films. His short film entitled ‘Territorial Pissings’ won the best short film award Jogja-NETPAC Asian Film Festival, one of Asia’s biggest film festivals. Some other notable works are: Tanya Jawab, Seserahan, The Day The Sky Roared, and Balik Jakarta. Elegi Melodi is his latest works.

Jason Iskandar was the founder of Studio Antelope (with producer Florence Giovani). Studio Antelope is a production house that produces a variety of content, from films to commercials; and provides full production services. Jason has directed content & commercials for some prestigious brands, such as Pepsodent, CloseUp, Yamaha, Google, Wardah, etc.
